China chipping in on the matter now. Well, renegotiation is still very much possible and as long as Iran doesn't move to upset the US during the interim (before the sanctions kick into effect).
Trump explicitly said that he is "ready, willing and able" to head back to the negotiating table so that's a good reason to keep geopolitical tensions to a minimum for the time being.
