The trade talk news has been positive bit its not all smooth sailing from here.
A piece in China's Global Times citing Song Guoyou, director of Fudan University's Center for Economic Diplomacy
- Says that while US President"Trump would like to settle the trade conflict before the mid-term elections, China would like to end it soon to eliminate the uncertainties domestically and internationally
But … "China needs to have a bottom line on four aspects:
- the trade deal shouldn't change China's political system;
- China won't give away its economic sovereignty;
- China should protect its national security;
- China will be able to continue developing,"
The Global Times is usually not shy about forthright.
