China president Xi Jinping comments on his visit to Madrid

  • China's door for opening up will be wider, not closed off
  • Will step up protection of intellectual property rights

A not-so-subtle message there to the US and Trump ahead of trade talks this weekend. We may see some form of positive spin after the meeting between the two leaders in Argentina, but with the US still pursuing action against China on other matters like IP theft, relations between the two aren't going to cool down any time soon.
