- The National Development and Reform Commission asked 17 large coal producers and 14 provincial-government officials to restrict coal output and curb illegal or excessive capacity
- Commission will shut overproducing mines or those breaking regulations, it said
The NDRC action comes amid oversupply, economic slowdown and weak demand says the report
