Comments by the Chinese foreign ministry
There's been a subtle shift in messaging from China since last week as they're putting quite a bit of emphasis on the "conditions" for trade talks.
In a way, they seem to be hinting that unless the US approaches talks with "sincerity", there won't be much need for both sides to be negotiating anything at all this month.
