Chaffetz to quit Congress - report

Chaffetz has been a key figure in Russia/Trump investigations

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chariman Jason Chaffetz will announce today that he is going to resign from Congress. He will reportedly join Fox News.

He has subpoenaed James Comey's memos, and invited the fired FBI director to testify next week before his panel.

Politico has the story but it's not a big surprise given that a month ago he said he wouldn't stand for reelection in 2018 and he recently took a month off for surgery.

Update: House oversight committee chairman Chaffetz resigns from Congress effective June 30, according to a letter to constituents.
