The CBC is reporting that US and Canada are close to an agreement on the metals tariffs. They add:
- high level meetings on final details or happening now
- says deal could be announced as early as Friday (assume today).
- They are citing one unidentified source with knowledge of talks
The USDCAD has moved lower on the news. The pair ran above the topside swing area (from 1.3480-97) to a high of 1.35128, but the news has spoiled that break now.
Look for sellers against the 1.3497 (call it 1.3500) now.
