ECB boss Draghi and BOE deputy governor both speaking later 17 Oct
Just a heads-up that Draghi steps to the rostrum at 17.35 GMT:
"Welcome address by the President at the Reception for the Opening of the European Cultural Days 2016 organised by the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany."
Given the nature of the event it's unlikely we'll get any news bombs but we learn in fx never to say never.
BOE dep gov Broadbent has already been out and about this morning making comments on the BBC here and here but he too is unlikely to make too many waves as he talks on pensions
"Work and Pensions Select Committee on the 'Pension Protection Fund and Pensions Regulator' 14.45 GMT.
With all roads of conversation heading to Brexit-land we shouldn't be surprised if we get the off headline or two.
Finally, Federal Reserve second-in-command Stanley Fischer speaks at 1615 GMT in New York.
Have a good session and I'll see you all back here tomorrow.
Draghi stands up for culture today. Yes, really
