Cable falls to session low as dollar gathers some steam on the day

GBP/USD makes a round trip from the highs to the lows of the day, now at 1.3533

And sterling is not helped by soggy UK data earlier here too. The pair failed to hold above the 100-hour MA (red line) and fell short of testing the 1.3600 level, and that has seen the price come "crashing" down again.

The dollar is gaining across the board though, with EUR/USD back near the lows at 1.1912 and USD/CAD up to highs of 1.2950 on the day.

Powell's comments earlier didn't really contain much in my view and the move appears largely isolated around euro, sterling and the loonie at the moment. But it is what it is. Dollar index is up to its best levels on the day and now threatens to break above 92.90.
