Did that feel like a rollercoaster? Because the chart sure looked like a rollercoaster.
The thing is, this whole episode pretty much went down as expected. The confidence vote was no surprise and the expressions of support from the DUP and ERG for May were no surprise. So assume she wins the vote.
Then what?
Nothing has really changed. There's no deal and we lurch toward the Article 50 deadline. There's talk of extending the deadline but that's not going to happen unless May has a reason to extend it. Even if she does, what does another couple months change?
The bottom line is that this is the ultimate quagmire.
