This via the Financial Times overnight ICYMI, a warning on what to expect on the Brexit due date of March 29
- UK government says cannot guarantee "most" of the EU's global network of trade agreements immediately after Brexit
- That is even if parliament approves PM May's deal with Brussels
So says the Department for International Trade:
- UK will fail to conclude trade deals with most non-EU countries by the scheduled Brexit date of March 29
- trade agreements with Switzerland, Israel and some African nations would be finalised, but no certainty that other deals Brussels has could be rolled over or duplicated in time
