No details apart from the headline at the moment but this isn't anything new in my view. But the headline is enough to give the pound a bit of a lift. Cable moved up from 1.3006 to 1.3025 on the back of that.
As for why I don't see this as anything new, it's very much been said before. Both sides have said that they are close to a deal and that an agreement is 80% to 90% done, depending on who you ask. But that remainder are the key issues such as the Irish border so that's not really adding much to the current rhetoric.
