Brexit: Davis to bombard Brussels with 12 papers, tell 'em to forget divorce payment

Brexit Secretary David Davis is to publish 12 papers to lay out proposals for discussing Brexit talks.

As part of them he'll be saying to the EU to forget their £36 bn "divorce bill" until a deal is struck. he wants to move the discussion on from payment:

  • "We need to get on with negotiating the bigger issues around our future partnership to ensure we get a deal that delivers a strong UK and EU"
