The governments of Ireland and the UK will sign a deal to guarantee that rights offered by the Common Travel Area (CTA) will continue after the United Kingdom exits the the European Union.
- Will be signed today, Wednesday
- Will continue to allow free movement of people between the UK and Ireland, and to also access to social security, health and education.
There is an agreement currently in place, this cements it moving forward in the event of Brexit.
