Barnier: Chequers plan 'dead' is dead and May should aim for Canada-style deal

Barnier kills the idea

The Telegraph is out with the Barnier story that says the EU has warned May the Chequers plan is dead and that she should aim for a Canada-style free trade agreement.

"Michel Barnier, the EU's chief Brexit negotiator, 'made clear' to MPs on the Brexit select committee that the Chequers plan is 'not acceptable' during a meeting in Brussels," the Telegraph reports.

This story was published a couple hours ago but it's doing the rounds now.
