- Declines to comment on what Wakatabe said at the meeting
- Deletion of wording doesn't have a deep meaning
Hmm, that's a really interesting bit. Wakatabe is a known dove and surely he will be arguing a case for further easing where fit. I'm not sure if the BOJ is refraining to share opinion in fears that it could show disharmony between the governor and deputy governor.
But it will make for a little more interesting meetings in the future no doubt.
The BOJ commented earlier that Wakatabe did not make any monetary policy proposals during the meeting.
