BOJ seen preparing for exit from easing with reserves:Nikkei

Headline cuts across screens

There is a headline from a story from Nikkei that says the BOJ seen preparing for exit from easing with reserves.

The story goes on to say, the BOJ may have reserved 450B yen for year end March. It is thought that the reserve is possibly preparing for losses on holdings of Japanese govt bonds, should it end monetary policy easing.

Nikkei does not say where it got the information but says the amount will become known when the BOJ releases financial statements as early as next week.

Note that this is speculation and I am a bit skeptical. It may also be for some distant day in the future when one day....they stop.

The USDJPY fell about 13 pips but have recovered half of the fall. So there is not much reaction in the market.
