BOJ JGB purchases

Crossing the newswires are indications of the size of BOJ JGB purchases:

• Purchasing 1Trln yen worth of JGB with maturities > 5 years but <10 years
• Purchasing 200bn yen worth of maturities > 10 years

Purchases to be done this week.

This is the sort of action we should expect after Thursday’s BOJ announcement – there will be much more of this to come (obviously).
