Outgoing BOE MPC member Blanchflower says he is bullish on the pound and that he thinks its undervalued. This is the same Blanchflower who told the Sunday Times the BOE should go to ZIRP.
Blanchflower says he hopes the sharp fall in UK employment will lead to a faster recovery than previous recessions.
