Federal Reserve Board chair Ben Bernanke gave a speech on Sunday at Princeton University. There was nothing of direct relevance to monetary policy and FX markets. He did give a hint that he wouldn’t be seeking another term at the Fed:
I wrote recently to inquire about the status of my leave from the university, and the letter I got back began, ‘Regrettably, Princeton receives many more qualified applicants for faculty positions than we can accommodate,'” (“Note to journalists: This is a joke,” said a footnote attached to the text provided to reporters)
He also delivered his “Ten Suggestions” to the graduates.
