This is seen as the 'final, final' deadline for a Brexit extension before getting the UK involved in European Parliament elections. As it stands, there's still no solution being concocted to break the Brexit deadlock just yet so it's tough to see how the EU would position themselves.
But if anything else, I reckon they'd be erring towards delaying it by a year rather than a few more weeks.
