Bank of Canada hikes 0.25% to 1%; further hikes would need to be carefully considered

As expected, the BOC delivered a 25 bp hike and signaled they are likely done for now do to the unusually uncertain outlook. The Canadian recovery will be slightly more gradual than projected in the July Monetary Policy Report. On the bright side, the BOC says it sees consumption growth remaining solid and business investment rising strongly.
