Bamboozling Chinese trade data – solution #2

Actually, this is just a much better way of doing my proposed solution (which was wrong and stupid, adding percentages … yikes).

OK:

  • Combined exports for January and February increased 23.6 percent from a year earlier, compared with a 6.8 percent gain in the same period in 2012 according to previously released customs data.
  • Total imports for the first two months rose 5 percent from a year earlier, compared with a 7.9 percent increase last year.

Bloomberg

ps. AUD still hasn’t moved. C’mon weekend
