Australian Treasury's grim forecast on unemployment

Australian Treasury analysis is set to be released Tuesday (Australian time)

• the analysis estimates that the unemployment rate will climb to a peak of 10% in the June quarter
• but without the Federal government's "JobKeeper package" the rate would peak at around 15%

Westapc's forecasts are similar:

• 9% in June (17% without the package)
