The October employment report and Australia will be released at 7:30 PM ET//0030 GMT.
The expectations are for:
- the employment change to increase by 15K versus a decline of -9.8 K in September
- The uunemployment rate is expected to take up to 5.7% from 5.6%
- Last month, part-time employment accounted for all the job gains. They rose by 43.2 K. Full time employment fell by -53.0 K.
- The participation rate is expected to increase slightly to 64.6% from 64.5%
Most of the jobs gains this year have been part time. The Full time job adds have only seen 3 months with increases and 6 months with declines. Moreover, there was one oversized gain of 44.6K but it was offset by a decline of -45.4 the month after (June and July 2016). The largest gain (sans the 44.6K gain) was 10.1K while the declines were -53K, -21.9K, -44.6K.
