Australian banks and ‘plain dumb luck’

Whilst we have our tongues firmly in our cheeks, why not have a read of Robert Gottliebsen’s piece on the near-miss the Australian banking industry had when Freddy Goodwin’s wife persuaded him not to take the CEO job at the NAB. As a previous RBA Governor famously said, the only reason that Australian banks did not get caught up in the GFC was plain dumb luck!
