Qantas is preparing for international travel with countries with high vaccine rates, such as
- Singapore, Japan, the United States, Britain and New Zealand
to resume from mid-December.
Qantas plan is dependent on government decisions and could be delayed.

Qantas planning ahead, I think they are right to do so. Australia's headline numbers on infections continue to be bad, for example:
but vaccinations are accelerating ...some supply constraints will slow this a little ahead but the rollout is quickening. Also, in NSW where the outbreak is at its worst hospitalisation (and ICU) rates are dripping a little lower as more and more people are getting vaccinated & thus less severely infected (NSW is taking the lead in the pace of vaccination, a combination of fear and promises that doing so is 'the way out' ... and in Australia it is).
