The Westpac-MI measure of Australian consumer confidence has fallen sharply to 92.8, down over 8%.
The AUD/USD has dipped 10 pips on the news, currently at 1.0630. AUD/JPY short-covering has given the Aussie a lift this morning but resistance is expected to intensify above 1.0650.
