All eyes on the pound
The pound wasn't comfortable with a recent run of outperformance, and came right back under pressure on Wednesday, after PM Johnson said he would be asking the Queen to suspend Parliament from Sept 11 to Oct 14. This took away from all the positives around Tuesday's news that the EU would be coming back to the negotiating table.
