APRA is the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority; they had tightened lending standards when Aussie house prices were running away to the topside
They've relaxed them a little now.
What this means for the AUD is that it edges potential RBA rate hikes closer, should the Bank become concerned again about accelerating hosue prices (house prices have declined a little lately, so this is not an imminent likelihood)
