Nasdaq has a small loss. S&P and Dow end with gains
The US stock market is closed, with mixed results:
- The S&P is ending up 13.4 points or 0.48% at 2820. The high for the day reached 2829.99 before rotating back lower.
- The Nasdaq is ending down -1.1 points or -0.01% at 7840.77. The index was up 68 points at the highs at 7928.79. That was a record high for the index.
- The Dow is closing up 197.59 points or 0.79% at 25241.88. The high reached 25286.

- Amazon up 1.51% (earnings Thursday)

- Caterpillar up 1.23% (benefited from the farm subsidies announced today)
- Citigroup up 1.22% (announced last week)
