Overtakes Microsoft's Bill Gates
With the rise in Amazon's stock to a record high today (the price reached $1.080 up 2.5%), Jeff Bezo's is now the world's richest man. He has overtaken Microsoft Bill Gates. Apple stock is up 0.25%.
Bezos net worth is now projected at $90.6B. In 2016 it stood at $45.2B. In 2010 he was worth only $12.3B and in 1998 he could barely make ends meet at $1.6B.
How much is Mark Zucherberg worth? About $70B. How about Elon Musk? Only about $16B.
The Chinese company Foxconn announced yesterday, that it would invest $10B in a new manufacturing plant in Wisconsin. That is small change for Mr. Bezos.
Amazon will release their earnings after the close today.
Intel will also announce after the close.
