Al Jazeera promises security leak
Within the hour, there are reports that Al Jazeera will release a trove of spying documents. MI6, Mossad, Russian FSB, Australian and South African cables will be among the confidential files released.
They date from 2006 to December 2014 and will be released in conjunction with The Guardian and reportedly include:
- Israel's "true" assessment of Iran's nuclear capabilities
- .An MI6 operation to recruit a North Korean spy.
- An assassination plot targeting an African union leader.
The Guardian is calling it The Spy Cables.
