A belated review of the UK Budget

You can probably guess from the lack of further detail from either Mike or myself that the Budget passed without any big news

Just a quick note really. The Chancellor upped near-term growth forecasts, tinkered with inflation, threw out a few tax changes and promised to cut debts/deficits and everything else bad for the UK (same as always).

There wasn't anything big in the Budget locker for Brexit (or indeed the UK in general) so that's a can kicked until the Autumn statement.

The UK press will pass judgment now so expect a raft of headlines to read with your cornflakes tomorrow.

The pound managed around a 20 pip gain overall.

That was the last Spring statement ever, until some Chancellor down the road decides to bring it back in, again.
