Poll: Economists almost evenly-divided on 75 bps hike from the ECB next week

  • The market is decidedly in the 75 bps camp

Reuters is out with a poll of 61 economists on next week's ECB decision:

  • 30 see 75 bps
  • 27 see 50 bps
  • 4 see 25 bps

The median sees the chance of a recession in 12 months at 60% from 45% in the July poll.
