Japan's economy minister will attend today's Bank of Japan meeting

Japan's Economy Minister Shindo will attend today's BoJ policy meeting:

• the first attendance by a cabinet minister since April 2020

I wonder what the significance of this could be? Given USD/JPY is barely changed on the news, its around 142.75, perhaps its not overly significant?
