Fed nominee Miran advances nomination along party lines

The vote was 13-11

There is a big rush in Congress to get Stephen Miran in place but I'm not really sure why. Even if he votes to cut rates next week, it won't make a difference. In any case, his term only runs until January so he will get a full hearing then.
