Tokyo area CPI will be published, for July. In about 4 weeks we'll get the nationwide CPI for July. The Tokyo data is viewed as providing a ball-park guide to the national data.

Also from Japan today is the Bank of Japan Summary of Opinions. This comes out many weeks ahead of the full minutes of the meeting. Today's summary is of the most recent, July, meeting:
