- BOJ will aim to raise rates to 1% under current rate hike cycle
- The next rate hike from 0.50% to 0.75% could happen either in May or June
- That will be followed up with a pause
For the time being at least, traders are not anticipating the BOJ to move in May or June. That especially since Trump's tariffs are presenting much uncertainty to the global outlook.
