What should we expect from the Bernank?

Big Ben takes to the mic in about 90 minutes when he takes questions from a faculty member at the University of Michigan and from students.

Anyone expecting Bernanke to hint at a 2013 end-date for quantitative ease? No that I’m aware of. While there are a handful of FOMC members who would like to slow the printing presses later this year, Bernanke is not among them and he basically calls the shots.

I’d expect the usual two-handed economist routine but when the tally is taken, he will come down on the side of the status quo. And the status quo is for very easy policy.
