Yesterday's mid rate was its strongest (for the CNY against the USD) since October 11 last year. A bit of a bounce back for the USD/CNY today though.
In open market operations today the People's Bank of China is:
- to inject 90 bn yuan via 7 day reverse repos
- to inject 30 bn yuan via 14 day reverse repos
The 120bn yuan injection matches today's maturities
