Weidmann reappointed
Handelsblatt reports that Jens Weidmann will continue at the Bundesbank and ECB for another 8 years.
He's a good central banker and generally resists the Bundesbank urge to overestimate inflation risks (despite the meme I love below). He was already out of the running to be ECB President because Merkel dedicated her efforts elsewhere but he's young enough (50) that he will be a big favourite the next time around.
