Feds Evans: 3% inflation for a year would be a worry

2.5% is not a worry

Fed's Evans is not concerned about 2.5% inflation for a year, but would be worried if it moves up to 3%. If inflation was 2.2% for a year or two, it would not counteract previous undershoots.

The comments continue to reinforce the Fed's willingness to tolerate higher inflation for an extended, as well as the expectations.
