Fisher has seemed bored with central banking for awhile and he’s already filthy rich so he’s looking for a new challenge. He would make a good politician but he’s disillusioned by the system and the Dallas Morning News reports that he’s a front-runner for the Chancellor job at the University of Texas.
With Stanley Fischer joining the Fed, the names were too confusing anyway.
