Highlights of the Federal Reserve's Beige Book released March 6, 2019:
- The other two said growth was flat
- A few districts saw 'upward price pressure from tariffs'
- Manufacturing strengthened despite global growth concerns
- Several regions saw input prices up more than sale prices
- Several regions said retail sales were weaker amid bad weather
- Labor markets still tight amid 'notable worker shortage'
'Slight-to-moderate' growth isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of the US economy.
