Australian dollar climbs in US trading - orders

AUD/USD flat on the day after erasing earlier fall

The Australian dollar has steadily climbed about 30 pips in US trading after falling by 25 pips in Europe. That leaves it up fractionally at 0.7253 on the day. It's been beaten up over the past two weeks and is near the lowest level since June.

Data on skilled vacancies are due later.

  • 0.7200 - strong demand reported. Options running off Wed
  • 0.7145 - May 24 low (that's a big technical level)
