US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant said Bitcoin forfeited to the federal government will form the core of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve created under President Trump’s March executive order.
He added that Treasury is exploring budget-neutral options to acquire additional Bitcoin, in line with the administration’s pledge to make the US the “Bitcoin superpower of the world.”
