Japanese online securities brokerage firm Monex Group Inc is reported to be planning to buy Coincheck - a cryptocurrency exchange in the country which if you remember, was hit by a $530 million hacking incident earlier this year.
Earlier reports say that the transaction would be around several billion yen, with an announcement expected to come as early as some time this week.
After the report came out, shares in Monex Group Inc spiked 23% hitting the daily limit:
