Cryptocurrency investors are at risk of a total loss - Deutsche

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management' global head of CIO, Markus Mueller, does not advise investments in cryptocurrencies

Mueller spoke to Bloomberg in an interview, saying that cryptocurrencies are for "investors who invest speculatively" and that "there is a realistic risk of a total loss" in doing so.

He also mentions that problematic issues with cryptocurrencies include high volatility, price manipulation, and data theft. Adding to that, he does not see why cryptocurrencies see something negative in regulation - saying that it helps to prevent abuses and crimes.

But he did reserve some praise for the blockchain technology by commenting that it has the potential to revolutionise some industries "from the ground up".

He's not the first to have these sort of comments, and surely won't be the last.
