A little heads up that we will be expecting a speech by Bank of England governor Mark Carney later on
He will be speaking at the Scottish Economics Conference in Edinburgh.
According to the website, Carney's speech "will look at what is money and how it is changing, including the emergence of cryptocurrencies and the possibility of central bank digital currencies". He will also "explain how the Bank of England is supporting innovation by the private sector whilst maintaining public trust in money and payments".
The scheduled time for the speech appears to be 1000 GMT.
